Central Washington State is the heart of Washington's world-class wine industry. Three of the state's five AVAs are here. The largest and most prolific is the Columbia Valley Appellation. Discerning vintners prize the grapes grown in this region, in particular, the WAHLUKE SLOPE. Winemakers have known for quite a while the particular richness of the fruit flavors found in grapes grown here. It is here that the Gilbert family grows wine grapes of impressively high quality- varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot.
The Gilbert vineyards are meticulously tended with the utmost care taken to maintain the very high standards set by the state's wine grape industry and those of the Gilbert heritage. Yields are purposely kept small to ensure quality and preserve the personal attention and superior service our customers expect.
