2004 Gilbert Cellars Chardonnay - Released: November 2006This Chardonnay from the Gilbert Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope showcases the depth of flavor and the richness of this variety. The juice was fermented in two lots and transferred to oak barrel for a period of 11 months before it was bottle unfiltered in order to preserve its textured and luscious flavor. While in thebottle it has shown integrated flavors of vanilla, spice and clove, and showcases an enduring, pleasurable finish. It should be enjoyed between 40-60° F and is ready to drink from now through 2008. Though it is enjoyable on its own, it goes very well with salmon and chicken entrees and many cheese dishes.
