Because we truly understand "growing", we feel a responsibility to take full advantage of the prime wine grape growing conditions of Central Washington and specifically the Columbia Valley which boasts chilly winters and a long, warm growing season seemingly designed to create extraordinary wines. Our grapes are grown with these world-class wines in mind.
At our Columbia Valley vineyards we use the best canopy management/irrigation techniques to ensure high quality and high value per bunch. We handle our grapes with utmost care so that skilled vintners are able to create their own masterpieces.
Every vintage year is a new and exciting adventure. Beginning in 2006 we are transitioning the vineyard to organic. This is a three year process which involves using only organically approved materials and viticultural practices. Our 2008 vintage will be fully certified organic. We do not expect any changes in production levels and certainly not in quality during this transition period.
